Next hairbrained idea. Buying a cart when I get to Florida

So I've got this big trailer I'm bringing down to Florida. I was going to borrow a freind's cart and bring it down, then I started looking at the cart ads in the Orlando/Fort Myers area and realized they are much cheaper down there. So I'm going to try to buy some carts while I'm down there and bring them back and sell them up here. I don't want to get rich, just want to perhaps sell three to get one free. I've been watching the ads and it seems functional carts (as advertised) can be had for under 1k. That same cart up here goes for 1500 plus. From my previous posts you may have noticed I am more into function over form, so it doesn't have to be the prettiest cart around. I prefer a gas cart (four stroke) but will do electric cause the gas are hard to find (but cheap) down there.

Any buying advice?

If they are that cheep there probably is something wrong with them. Like needing batteries, which can add an additional $500. I can't get pm's not sure when u are coming, but I can give you some advice. what dates will you be here?

There are a lot of golf cart communities in the central Florida area, combined with a lot of golf courses. So there is a large supply, verses most places.

You can also check around the Myrtle Beach area, which is closer to you.

There is a member on here who builds carts and had a website, not sure what the website is but I think the name of his company was East Coast Custom Carts or something along those lines. I think his name was Tungpo1 or something like that, maybe he will chime in or someone knows how to contact him. We camped in the same loop as him a few years back and his cart was nice.
