"next available seating" Which places offer it?

Just wondering which resturaunts offer "next available seating" for onsite guests. In particular we are interested in Margaritaville, Hard Rock Cafe, and Mythos.... and will that option be availible Dec 16th&17th (fri/sat)

Any guesses as to how long of a wait it would be for a family of 5, with 'fotl' access? Or should I try and make reservations 15 days out...

We dont mind a wait of 20 minutes or so and would prefer just walking up, but if the wait could be a lot longer.... then I will try and book tomorrow....

You should be fine and not have a long wait. Just an FYI, most do not take reservations after 6:00 PM and it is for walk up only.

A good time to visit the park restaurants is for lunch at 11:30am. Even with your FOTL magic keys, it's still a good idea to show up early to the park gate, at say 08:15am. Why? Because then you can get a front seat ride on Hulk, Deuling Dragons, and Pteranondon Flyers before the kid rule goes into effect. You'll be hungry at 11:30am, and that's when Mythos opens for lunch. There will be a few people waiting, but you'll get right in.
If you share a meal, you can save room for desert and share that too. After that, you'll want to go back to your hotel room and rest. If you want to go for dinner, then I'd say to go early at 4pm just before happy hour ends.

We have kids so the kid rule works for us.... lol And we wont be doing Hulk or DD this trip either.... Just hanging out in the kiddie areas, and eatting... lol

What is the "kid rule"? I'm new to these boards and don't have kids.

Pteranondon Flyers has a rule that you must ride WITH a child under a certain height. If you get there first thing in the morning, they allow adults to ride it without the child.

It's still a good idea to arrive early because Pteranondon Flyers doesn't accept FOTL and the line can be an hour. Check out my POV page where I rode first thing in the morning with no one in the park.

It sounds like you'll spend a lot of time in the play ground areas. In that case, bring a change of cloths, so the kids can get wet. And you'll need a good book to read, because they'll want to stay forever.

The start of happy hour varies. The watering hole next to JPRA can start as early as 2pm. Other places run from 3-5pm, some from 4-6pm. So if you wanted to do the early dinner thing, you could get a few happy hour drinks, then dinner at 5pm. At Margaritaville, there's a big plane with sand all around it. Kids play while their parents sip drinks.
