Next AP release?

Now this is only a "rumor" as I read this on another thread. But, someone mentioned 1/24 for the release of AP discounts sometime through May. I will be checking everyday myself.

We will be upgrading our MYW pass to AP on our trip in January because we have another trip already planned in June using 4/3. Just curious what WDW usually has special for AP in way of discounts? Any chance an AP discount would be better than the 4/3?

My guess would be late February. Keep in mind that the current round of AP discounts released did not include any discounts over the weekends. We generally arrive on Friday and/or Saturday, and stay with an AP rate, then check into our DVC resort on Sunday. Since I've not bought airfare yet for May, if this happens again, I will just pass on arriving early and just arrive on Saturday. Folks who are on the fence about the 4/3 offer or AP offers, need to keep this cost (or lack of weekend discounts) in mind when crunching the better deal. I think the 4/3 offer is great, but I only stay a day or 2 on the AP discount, so that offer doesn't really help us. Plus we don't need the tickets either. Right now I'm watching for early May AP discounts at either Disney or Universal, then decide where to spend my first few nights.
