Hi again! I have a mac so I do not have Publisher. Can anyone recommend software that I can use to make newsletters please? Or is it possible to make a nice newsletter using Word? (Oh and I am slightly computer challenged!)
Thanks!

I have a mac and I'm using pages for mac. It has great templates. Also, if not - use word for mac - it's not that bad. It's very simple.

I just received my first Mac from the school board and really don't know anything about them yet. I'm sure there is software out there, hopefully someone else can post.

I made my first newsletter using Word. It was not as fancy as the second newsletter that I made using Publisher, but it got the information to our guests. I printed it on legal sized paper. I used an image of the castle as a watermark in the background.

Here is our Word designed newsletter:

I am going to use the free trial for pages and see how I do. If not I will use Word. Thanks.

I would be very happy if my newsletter looked as nice as this. How did you make the watermark in the background?

I don't have a Mac now but used to be a software trainer for a dealership in the UK. Have a look at a free trial of Pagemaker - it is very easy to use and you can move blocks of text around wherever you want them.

I use it on a laptop to do all our training materials in :thumbsup2

In MS Word for PCs you can right-click on an image and there is an option to "Format Picture". You then select the "Picture" tab and under "Image Control" change the color to "Washout."

I'm not sure if you can do the same with Mac's Pages software, though.

I hope that helps a little!

It sounds very user friendly which is what I need. I am downloading it now and I will give it a try. Thanks.
