I am now hearing from a source the one who gave info about the original frozen event is now saying more frozen events will be coming for christmas time and some May be add ons like a dessert party or something similar. And of course people will buy in to something they shouldn't. I thought frozen was a good movie but Disney May be going to far. The only park that will not have something happening frozen wise come November will be Animal Kingdom.

At a certain point the Frozen hysteria will not suffice to sustain another Frozen Summer Fun, imo. Sure, a Frozen ride at Epcot, a couple of M&G's, and a Castle Dream lights' Frozen edition are inevitable, but I really don't think Frozen will take over the parks for more than a couple of years, or at least until the current demand decreases.

It only takes another hit movie for the consumers to look in a different direction.

In regards of the new Frozen attraction, I guess I'm fine with it. My only concern is how they'll handle the transformation in order to accomodate more people/make a decent Frozen attraction that doesn't scream ''cheap makeover''

Maelstrom will need some serious work.

Are they working on a new movie I don't know about yet . I loved frozen but come on now. When is enough enough from this cash cow. I would have thought the udder would be drying up soon or at least another cow to up the ante

If top management is only concerned about the immediate piggybank...then this makes 100% sense.

I have my suspicions

Of course top management is only concerned about immediate money , look at DVC, and all of the add on events, heck we just saw the start of a hard ticket event inside of a hard ticket event.

It's not that bad...

It's a $110-$600 standard hotel room, roughly $97 a person for entry from 9 am to 7 pm, $65 for the 7-12 pm block, and $99 plus tax and 18% for a one hour festivale at 9:45 pm

Don't make it look predatory or anything...

so far everything frozen they have done has been outstanding, why would u not want more if they can keep producing quality like they have?

Spirit gave an insight to something coming to Tokyo. He has said WDI has pitched an idea to the people at TDR for a new attraction. New ride technology. Frozen. Big Ice Palace. E-ticket possibility. and supposedly its a full go going to open around 2018, may see some similar things come to shanghai. This new ride also includes a restaurant, so I'm wondering if it will be like a frozen area in TDL.

Now that is what WDW should get something big new and exciting not oh lets tear apart maelstrom and put frozen in.

Disney could've done much better a than maelstrom redo for Frozen. Disney used to built new state of the art attractions all the time what happened to that.

Osborne Lights on Streets of America will be on from November 7, 2014 – January 4, 2015.

A source revealed some estimated budgets for frozen attractions. The frozen in Norway will supposedly cost around 75 million. Frozen in Tokyo will get a budget of 450-500 million. The little mermaid attraction cost around 100 million just to put that into perspective...

guess we'll aim low with expectations with that budget

That makes no sense. The little mermaid cost 100 but it will take 5 times that for Tokyo? There has to be something else going on here.

Well, to be fair, Mickey's Toontown Fair had to be demolished and a new building had to be built to house Little Mermaid. In this case I'm guessing they'll preserve the building and build a few additional rooms to make the queue/ride longer.

And I agree that 500 million for Frozen in Tokyo is not going to happen unless they use actual diamonds to decorate Elsa's castle. Radiator Springs Racers (allegedly DLR's most expensive attraction, and one of the most expensive rides in the world) had a cost of about $200 million.

Tokyo doesn't cut corners. They seem to do everything to the absolute best of their ability and then maintain it in pristine working condition from there on out. One of the most obvious differences I noticed was the quality of their shows. A WDW show will have song, dance, and a few props. A Tokyo show will have song, dance, props, water, fire, aerial work, lighting effects, fog, live music.... They spent 22 million on a spinner ride. I wouldn't be surprised if they spent hundreds of millions on "Anna and the Snow Queen".
