Looks good. And shows that they can get things done quickly, if they are motivated to do so.

I saw a comment in the article where someone complained about the turf. What would you expect for a FP+ viewing area? They'd have to replace real grass literally every day.

I think it's looking great as of this moment. I'll be there in November and should be able to see the finished product. I will say that I didn't know they were working on the area around the Partners statue.

Which is becoming rare...

Of course...new pavement has no PR value...so it can't bleed
Also rare I think this will be one of the best things Disney has done in a while. They aren't shortcutting here really trees, and plants new viewing areas etc. the details look great. This may look just as good or better than the renderings. I'm interested to see how these castle turrets come along.

Hmmm - this tells me one of two things....either LMA (and Indiana Jones) isn't going away...or it IS going away and they are already working on the development of a new show.

Which I guess means it tells me almost nothing. (Well, that they aren't closing the stunt shows and not replacing them.)
Well the rumor is Jones is staying LMA is going. But again who knows these things change all the time.

If they are developing new Indi films, I don't think the show is going anywhere anytime soon. They can always develop a new show, or even better, bring a new Indiana Jones attraction comparable to Temple of the Forbidden Eye :rolleyes2

Well I agree but they are not currently developing new films the rumors around Chris Pratt were they were just eyeing him up for the future incase they do make new films.

Really? I thought it was confirmed already. Well, that's a saga with a lot of potential in my opinion. I think they should definitely reboot the saga, as long as they keep the aliens and Shia Labeouf away from it. And it's a great opportunity to develop a new show, and potentially a new ride at the theme parks.

Disney has contracts up until 2018 for Indiana Jones. Unless something absolutely DRASTIC happens between now and then, nothing about that will change. Also the Illuminations rumors are bogus....go ahead and throw those out the window. Wishes is to be replaced first and its replacement isn't coming until the end of this year at the EARLIEST. Illuminations still has some life in it, and they will use until it no longer can draw a crowd. Also word around the resort is that the Lumberjacks at Epcot wont be seeing a contract renewal after the one year mark.....surprising eh? Anyoo sorry for not dropping by more. I miss my little Dis family, but it seems Rteetz is doing an exceptional job, as always, at keeping things running. I will try to jump in discussions more often, and possibly add some new articles to my Disney History section.....still working on Tomorrowland I believe.

I wasn't expecting any new shows at WDW with the focus having been on Disneyland for the 60th. Thanks this thread is great for small news items and general discussion. The lumberjacks haven't had the best welcoming at Epcot.

Oh no. I hadn't even heard rumors of this. I know it's been around for a long time, but I only recently saw it for the first time and I love it. I'm not sure how they could make it any more perfect. The fireworks themselves are not the greatest, but I love the audio.

Steve Davison is great anything new will be better than before.

Last year I went to DW for the first time in a decade (really as the first time as an adult paying for my own trip) and went to all 4 parks and loved it. I'm planning out all my 2015 vacations and want to do another theme park vacation in there somewhere. Because there really isn't anything new at the 4 DW parks this year (the Seven Dwarfs coaster is the one exception) I am debating between going to Orlando and going to both Universal Park - I've been to the original Universal one but it's been 12+ years, and the MK; or going to DL + DCA. It's a tough call. But Universal is definitely on my vacation radar now and until DW builds new stuff, I doubt I'd plan a whole vacation solely around that until something major gets built, like AvatarLand.
