News Round Up 2020

Toothsome's Chocolate Factory restaurant at Universal has this new robotic dog character Latte they just introduced to go along with the other two characters they have there.
Hopefully he’s not as annoying as the woman who walks around in that restaurant. We cringe every time she comes near us lol.

I really like these, but they are a bit too relaxing sometimes. I have found that I fall asleep.

That would be great, though I don't see how until they can increase availability significantly. And to do that they will have to seriously up the throughput on most rides.

MK, AK, and Epcot are fine during the week, but on the weekends and DHS any day, I don't see how you can have many more guests in the parks without it being pretty bad experience as far as rides go. Some rides already have no where else to go with their queue. I'm always shocked how often Small World is using every inch of the extended queue which takes over half of the Tangled area. Peter Pan doubles back at times through the most crowded walkway in MK. Maybe they will switch to more VQ?

Maybe they could do park hopping for anyone on the weekdays if they have hotel/day ticket capacity in park reservations. I would really like park hopping to Epcot to return. It's disappointing if you are staying at an Epcot resort. I think it will eventually return, because they lose out on money at Epcot from park hoppers for the food festivals and restaurants.

You are never guaranteed entry to any park as an AP. Look at pre-COVID times. APs were not guaranteed entry then either. Say if a park was at capacity you were subject to that. Obviously that was pretty rare but I dint see this much different. If DHS is full you have to choose a different park.

? Maybe you responded to the wrong message but I didn’t say anything about being guaranteed entry. I just said that weekends are already almost pointless in attempting because of how miserably long the lines get (though Universal is waaaay worse).

Still I do think the argument that we were never guaranteed entry goes against the good faith of the contract. It wasnt guaranteed, but as you said that was extremely rare and people knew when those 3 or 4 days of the year were. Now it’s every day. I’m not blaming them because as I said, letting anyone else in would make the parks even less worth visiting than they already are. Currently the only worthwhile time to go is a weekday and that is only because the demand Disney had expected is not there.

I think one of the main reasons they’re not currently selling APs is because of that severely reduced capacity and as we’re seeing the AP bucket fills up very quickly. So if they were to sell even more APs, there would be more upset holders who wouldn’t be able to get a reservation. Also, Disney doesn’t want to drastically increase the AP bucket, as they need to keep a lot of spots open for resort guests, thats their bread and butter. Yes APs bring in money, but resort stays are where they are really making their money.

When capacity increases I think we’ll see APs begin to be sold again.

They’re building some sort of structure near the end of the safari. It’s at the last section where there’s animals. I could be wrong, but I don’t think it was there I’m July.

I guess that’s mainly my point. There never has been and and will not be any problem for non-AP holders. But their experience will get significantly worse once weekdays become as crowded as weekends currently are. Pre-covid there was normally very little difference in weekends vs weekday crowds. It was a more seasonal thing. Currently weekends are barely-manageable. There is basically zero extra room for new guests or park hoppers on the weekend until throughput of rides is increased. The next move will be making weekdays equally as frustrating, assuming tourism picks up. It’s basically a no win for anyone. Not for Disney and not for guests either.
