News Round Up 2020

I understand that many here do not appreciate the finacial structure that has been developed under Chapek's guidance, and as park fanatics we would love someone from a creative division. That being said, we should acknowledge the epic growth and rebirth that his divisions have seen. The parks and resorts were largely stagnating prior to his leadership. The last five years has seen growth in parks, resorts, and travel like no other period in Disney's history. Pandora, SWGE, Toy Story Land a complete rebuild of EPCOT, Tron, new resorts, the skyliner and that is just at WDW...

edit-Sorry Ryan just saw the new thread after posting. I'll move the conversation there...

So....Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens May 26th at Epcot?
Exactly my thought! I'm glad SEE will be open for our April trip. I don't have a sentimental attachment to it, but was hoping to give it one more ride so I can accurately compare when it reopens.

Chapek comes from consumer products and trying to monetize everything vs a creative person who will push things and then let the "numbers people" handle the finances ... Just feeling that a lot of cutting corners vs setting the bar has been driven by his decisions

For example, he pushed back and cut a lot of the live entertainment that was supposed to be in Galaxy's Edge as he doesn't want to pay actors - stuff like that

Um hello, remember the cast members are the characters!! I think one is the lady that holds the "end of the line" sign, right?

[Eta] sorry Ryan .. !!

I'm going to guess that it actually opens earlier giving them a short period to iron out any kinks and allowing both to be open for the holiday weekend.

Happy and sad at the same time

Man ... all Epcot will be is World Showcase this summer .. and that will be packed since Future World will be hard to navigate. Hopefully this means that Ratatouille open at that same time to balance out another ride closing.

I'll let you know how bad it is in July :rotfl2: I'm a glutton though. We love the parks during packed times:confused3
