Agreed. We need this why? It was a 100% one and done for me. Even my kids (one of which is ALL about animals and The Lion King and Lion Guard) have never asked to watch it again after we saw it in the theater. They also skip the songs when they pop up on Spotify because they aren't the 'real' versions. No thanks.
No thanks.
I suppose but I’d rather just leave it alone. This is purely for money at this point.if it is a new and unique story I would actually be more interested in this one than the first one (which I still haven't bothered to see)
No thanks.
did it have to have expired during COVID lolDisney World Begins Selling New Annual Passes to Passholders With Expired or Cancelled Annual Passes

Well yeah I get that but give me a new story not a sequel to a already remade story.I'll let you in on a little secret, Disney is purely about making money.
More Disney movies the better imo. Seems like it could be fun.
Another .. small step towards normal! Huzzah!Disney World Begins Selling New Annual Passes to Passholders With Expired or Cancelled Annual Passes
Another .. small step towards normal! Huzzah!
I wonder why they are targeting just people who have recently expired or cancelled APs though.
Do they feel that those people are "regretting" their decision to cancel or not renew and may want to come back now that Florida since they have announced things are moving towards "normal"?
Or is this just basically testing the water to see what AP demand would be?
Or .. like I've said before .. just start getting more people (but not too big) to come down this year to "check out" WDW without the concern of it not being "worth" going with the restrictions. (because they can just come back in 2021 when things are closer to "normal").
Any indication of price? The same I would assume (and/or hope).
Gives me hope an AP (in some form) will be available for my first planned 2021 trip (and thus makes it more likely there will be a second trip).
That's good, we plan on buying new passes for our several times rescheduled next trip in the spring. Although only 3/4s of us had passes expire during the closure. But we'll wait until closer to the trip anyway, hoping DVC discount passes open up as well.Disney World Begins Selling New Annual Passes to Passholders With Expired or Cancelled Annual Passes

DVC discount passes have been available as renewals, so I would assume they would be available during this new sale as well. We renewed ours a month ago and got the DVC discount. So if you meet the criteria to buy the new APs, I would try calling member services first before calling the VIP Passholder number. I also have to say the member services people were much more knowledgeable than the VIP Passholder line when I was calling a few times last month (less wait time too). That's good, we plan on buying new passes for our several times rescheduled next trip in the spring. I thinks it’s definitely more of just testing the water. It’s basically 1 step up from offering renewals (which they’ve been doing since day 1). They know people that have previously had APs know what to expect, and will be more knowledgeable with future issues. I don’t see them opening up regular sales of APs until hopping returns, and I don’t see that returning until next spring.Another .. small step towards normal! Huzzah!
