News Round Up 2020

Not unexpected . .but good news they aren't "overreacting" like everything else in the world and cancelling things and schools for months out. Nothing wrong with going a few weeks at a time and extending if needed.

Things are looking better as time goes on (which was the whole point of this, right?
Exactly. I know many states are seeing spikes in illness, but some states, like Ohio, have hope shining through again. Last week it seemed like we would never have a summer, this week it looks much better than expected. So closing a few weeks at a time is a good plan.

Drove through property yesterday. Work is continuing on the World Drive to Floridian Way connection, the removal of the old Hollywood Studio parking entrance, and the Cove hotel.
Officially, none of those are Disney projects, makes sense they aren’t canceled. Thanks for the update.

Maybe the good news is you get to start over (and re-visit the parks you’ve already been to) and try again?
We’re gonna try to reschedule Disneyland for the short window between when Disneyland puts up holiday decor and when my 2 year old turns 3, but my wife finishes her doctorate and starts her career next month so coordinating time off is about to become much, much harder. We already have the tickets so I’d like to squeeze the trip in.

WDW at this point is TBD.

I'm hoping for a little bit of good from Corona cancellations. My conference that was in Orlando this year (cancelled for last week) is in Anaheim next year. Since I have a flight credit now and I have to go SOMEWHERE, I'm hoping that will help me convince my company to let me go to Anaheim next year. Plus, next year is my 10th wedding anniversary. If work approves me going, we're going to pay for my husband's flight and tack on some days either before or after to do Disney.
