News Round Up 2020

Wow. How long have they been working on that? Just seems REAL quick turnaround. I guess I don't follow DL news as closely -- Wasn't it just two years ago that Bug's Land closed?
This is one attraction only and they used some existing infrastructure to convert it to this new land.

It is pretty quick but keep in mind this is just phase one of the project. Not sure of timing for phase two which will include the major E-ticket Avengers ride

Between this and the other announcement about Coronavirus, I'm thinking they are seeing a significant number of cancellations for the second half of March and perhaps beyond.
It's a good thing Disney had the attendance they did in February because March seems like it's heading south quick.

Monday and Tuesday of this week last year ,Touring Plans measured crowd levels of:
WDW: 10 both days. This year 8 and 7.
DLP: 9 and 10, this year 7 and 5.

All speculation, but will this mean people will defer their vacations until the summer? or the fall? or next year? Just curious on opinions.

I think it (the "panic") will only get worse in April/May as inevitably more and more "confirmed" cases are found in the US (and Florida especially). People will catch this, it will spread (just like the flu has all over this country the past 4 months) .. time will only tell if catching COVID-19 is any worse than the flu, pneumonia or common cold for MOST people.

Just checked MDE and wait times weren't as outrageous, outside of FOP as I thought they would be for the spring break season. Did see that Frozen and River Journey are both down.
