The semi-recent update to the My Disney Experience app included directional/navigational features. The app finds where you are by the location of your phone, then you can input a destination, and it will give you the estimated time it would take to get you to your destination via car, bus, etc. There's also navigational features within the park.

Seems like this could be a stepping stone towards further WDW transportation integration within the MDE app.

Disney added turn by turn directions for driving and walking to MDE. Eventually they are going to add us wait times to the apps as well if they can get it accurate.

I agree ... I don't think there will be a separate app, but it's only a matter of time until the transportation wait times are integrated into the MDE app. Hopefully you'll even be able to track the transportation via the GPS like Uber

I believe they are at most if not all resorts now. Now resorts like riverside or Caribbean beach don't have them at all of their stops only the main ones I think.

We had them at WL at Christmas. Loved them!

They were at the WL last October and I didn't find them all that helpful because they're weren't accurate. The times bounced around a lot. I should also note that we had a car so the only park we took the bus to was the MK. Hopefully they've improved since then. I'm not sure what's worse...not having any indication of when a bus will arrive, or being told that a bus will arrive in 6 minutes, then 4, then 2, nope changed my mind now 8, then 5, oh look there's a bus right there.

Interesting thanks! I don't believe all of the POR stops have them unless that's changed since I've been there.

We were at POR in June...the West and South Depot had them for sure. I'm pretty certain I saw them while driving by the North and East as well. Though the time for MK at West Depot was always blank. Times for all the other parks were up and running.

No problem! While I did appreciate the "heads up" idea of the monitors, I'd say they were only accurate about 70% of the time. Pretty good odds, but there were definitely times when it would jump up, then fall down, then go up again, etc. Most of the time they were pretty accurate though...within a few minutes.

Just saw a tweet implying Joe Rhode was one of the imagineers that got the axed in layoffs. Anybody else see similar?

Started a thread on it. Joe tweeted that he doesn't believe the rumors are true.
