There is so much in MK/DLR that have no ties to Walt nowadays. Stitch, Wreck it Ralph, all pixar, Lion King, Ariel, etc are not Walt or legacy. This is a wide ranging argument over what is Walt's legacy (Mickey Mouse and unique properties, or Snow White and repurposed fairy tales?).
Anyhow, I think we need to accept that Disney as an entity has always needed to expand from a "princess" centric property, and Marvel/Star Wars give it the platform to do that. And Star Wars uniquely is an open book for them to speak to adults/children/boys/girls. I think its a positive. And I'm sure it will be "incorporated" and not replace. I'm sure we'll still see Tinkerbell flying from the castle and not Boba Fett.

You can argue Star Wars is as much fantasy as Pirates or Sea Witches... and that is something Disney can work with. Maybe some of that is my wishful thinking, but I have confidence.
