News Round Up 2016

At some point...they're gonna have to use some type of ride system designed by S. I. Newton, John Miller, and Ron Toomer for a Star Wars ride...

Maybe "phase 2" after they stop trying to cater to 4 year old Jimmy and 72 year old Nana...ALL the time...

I always thought an inverted-spinning Mack coaster would be a nice system for a Star Wars ride to use. You get the flexibility of a dark ride and the thrill of a coaster. See Arthur at Europa-Park.

I like track-less rides, though. They can be quite thrilling and fun when done well (Transformers/Mystic Manor).

More good news...can't have enough food offerings down there...if you ask me.

Maybe people
Will stop waiting 2 hours for bad food at T. rex now?

...nah...

Hey, be quiet. I love it when people wait 2 hours for food at T-rex. People, please go to T-rex. Especially late September.

I hear there is a bus from every park taking people to T-rex.

I also hear they will have a live Dinosaur there to sign your autograph books that last week.

Night and Day. It is hip to go there. Be in the in crowd. TREX

What if they are toned down for no age requirements?

Or shortened too much to supply capacity?

Rockinroller coaster is the perfect modern Disney ride - IMHO - it's only 60 seconds...but it provides just enough punch to be enjoyable at that length without heavy rider restrictions and sacrificing capacity.

A Star Wars ride in 3 dimensions needs to be big enough and 2 minutes or so to satisfy the basic requirements of a good ride.

Pardon......

I couldn't translate the acronym soup on this one...

If "dw" is "Disney world"...then it makes sense...

But the confusion is it's generally "WDW"...and fools do "Disney wife" with that one.

The only "dw" I want is one of walt or Roy's granddaughters...

...so I can sit on the back of the Gulfstream and throw spitballs at Iger and blame his limo driver...

So dw doesn't mean dang wifey? pirate:

I really should give brooks a try.

I already purchased the Illuminations shirt :)

DH really likes the Brooks website. It is really helpful in picking what kind of shoe you need based upon our foot geometry and stance. He got a pair that fit at a local running store and has since bought new ones from Zappos. Yes, the demise of the brick & mortar is his fault:)

Believe me I reread some of my post and get confused. I actually try not to even use acronyms as it doesn't take much longer to just write the words out. Maybe we can start a anti-acronyms thread. I am all for making them go away.

But then how would I convey my DD's desire to have the most magical time ever by using the DDP at MVMCP before watching the EWP from our GF CL MK view room?

That's an excellent point...their website may be far and away the best athletic store around...the fit tool is awesome and spot on...

They also are sold by a wide variety of stores...a favorite of local running shops and big retailers (like Dicks) alike. Also different price ranges/qualities depending on how serious you are...

I'm a fan of the ghosts, adrenaline gts, and trancend lines myself.

Ok...back to regular programming.

Not sure if this is old news or not, but was just in MDE and apparently DHS will be getting the Early Morning Magic event. Rides will be Star Tours and Midway Mania. Character meets will be Buzz, Woody, Mickey, Minnie, and Olaf. Buffet breakfast at ABC Commisary. Was not bookable for August 4th (only date I was checking for something else), but link to more detailed info was clickable. $69 per adult, $59 per child 3-9, plus tax.

Looks like it'll be held Mondays and Wednesdays in August and September to start. Same price as the one at MK: $69 per adult, $59 per child (3-9).

Interesting Thanks!

The event did show up on MDE for all of the parks but didn't show specifics. I am surprised DHS is the next park to get it. It has been decently popular with MK.

This really could be the future of EMH...

Apparently this new tech on the un-manned floats is problematic. I have heard Disney really wants RoL started because Jungle Book has such negative reviews.
I have heard it is more a money issue. The Jungle Book show cost more money. They never wanted the Jungle Book show to be long term, they already had invested so much in ROL, and ROL will cost less on a per show basis. Disney never expected the Jungle Book show to be a big hit, it was a filler when they had no other choice due to the ROL problems.

I also don't think you can book the show for Sept 5th. Sept 4th is the last day you can book the show...for now. They haven't opened any further cause they don't know what they will do yet. Given Sept 5th is a holiday, some insiders have said that it was an internal goal to have it up by Labor Day if they couldn't have it up by July 4th. Obviously they didn't make it for July 4th. Insiders also say that even if it can't open by Labor day, they have ever intention of having it up before the end of the year, just don't expect them to make any announcement until they know with 100% certainty (which could be the week before it opens).
