I'm surprised no one's mentioned this in the February Mickey Moniter. AP holders now will get 25% off for Night of Joy tickets, MNSSHP, and MVMCP. I know that for MVMCP, the 25% is based on the "day of" cost, but isn't that still a savings over the advanced price?

Its listed as the passholder benefits that was posted at the beginning of the year which I was excited about :)

I know, there has been question on that, well I guess I have questioned it here on the boards before.

There seems to be question on whether you can get those tickets in May for 25% off the day of price of if you have to wait until that actual day of the event to get that 25% off. Personally I hope its the first scenario because I like to get my tickets in before I go down.

It seemed to be worded that way in the MM.

From the AP website:

"Specially Ticketed Events at the Magic Kingdom® Park Receive a 25% discount on "Day-Of" admission price for the following special ticket events at the Magic Kingdom® Park:

Night of Joy
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Discount is only available on selected nights, based on a limited availability, and does not apply to "Advance Sales" admission price for these special ticket events. The Passholder may purchase up to a total of four discount tickets. For special ticket event dates and prices visit disneyworld.com/passholder beginning June 5, 2005."

I think the line "discount is only available on selected nights, based on a limited availability" indicates that they will only be available the day of the party. Nights that are already soldout in advance will not have discounted tickets, thus the "selected nights" and "limited availability" disclaimers.

See how I read it is "discount is only avail on selected nights" means that only the nights of the party being that they are not every night but on selected nights.

And

"based on limited availability" means that there is a limit to the number of tickets sold altogether - ie the "20,000 cap" of tickets sold for each party.

Of course this could be wishful thinking on my part :earboy2:

I guess we won't really know for sure until they are on sale and if we can get them in advance :goodvibes

My take on this was that it is only the day of the event, otherwise why would they have said "Day of"? Of course, it would be nice to buy them in advance. But if they allow that, then you'd have to have a valid AP at the time of purchase, but what if it expires before the event? Or what if you just have a voucher? I think those things will make it impossible for them to sell them in advance. Would have been nice if they had this last year though, since I was seriously debating going to a MVMCP, but didn't want to buy in advance cause I was alone with a 9 month old so I wasn't sure how things would go.
