yep. If they admit fault, they lose the lawsuit and open themselves up for more. Happens all the time.

this is in response to a wrongful death lawsuit. they're saying a cast member made a statement that was false which resulted in the crash and they shouldn't be held responsible because of it. so they're saying sue the cast member, not us.

even if such were the case and Disney weren't liable for what the cast member in question did or did not do, it's common practice to cast your defendants as wide as possible and hope you catch someone, preferably the ones with deeper pockets.
