Today I spoke with the DVC salesperson who has been working with us on our decision about DVC, and I asked him about the 60% increase in 2002 points that I had seen discussed on this board.
He said that 60% sounded extreme; however he did anticipate that they would be hearing from a lot of dissapointed DVC Members once the point schedule is posted. He admitted that for some seasons, there will be a significant increase, although he thought that 60% would be a worse case scenario. However, he said that there would be actual decreases from last year's points for some of the seasons. Overall, though, it sounded as if he expected most DVC Members to be unhappy with the 2002 point chart.
I also asked him about DVCII, and he said that it would most likely happen with the opening of the Eagle Pines resort.
