Newlyweds

Can you remember when you were first married? Could other people tell that you were a newlywed?
I remember when my wife and I got married and we were on the plane on our way to Disney World for our honeymoon. Some how the stewardess new we were just married (maybe it was that dumb look on our faces ) and she offered us a free bottle of champagne. We don't drink so we politely refused the offer. She then came back a few minutes later and said she had spoken with the Captain, and he authorized her to offer us two seats in first class. Wow, what a difference between first class in regular seating. It was the first and last time we ever sat in first class, so what a great memory.

I've been married since Feb. 2004 and we still get asked if we are newlyweds.

Dh and I had been dating for six years when we got married so we were over the "lovey dovey" phase.....
My brother and his wife have been married for six years, they still act like newlyweds....very sweet and mushy.

THe day after their wedding my dd and her new husband were on a plane bound for WDW. Her brother - my son the prankster - was also on the plane on a business trip. He got up and announced to the plane at large that his sister was on her honeymoon. Everybody cheered. My dd is used to her brother and just laughed. I would have died of embarrassment.

Other than DH's ring being very shiny, I don't know if we stood out. We went to WDW for the first 1/2 of our honeymoon and got upgraded to a king size bed though so that was a perk!


What a great trip that was- no worries and all the wedding stress behind us.....

Come to think of it, we were never asked that question. When I'd say I was recently married, I'd get the, "Oh! Newlyweds!" comments, but that's it.

But one time we were doing a charity thing with a bunch of others and started bickering about the right way to wash a car and some guy laughed and said, "Are you two married?"
