Well, poop.

I went to my regular appointment today and they asked if I had any concerns. Told them there has been a major lack of movement and so they took his heartbeat (152) and tried to get him to move. They couldn't. So then they asked if I had any reason to believe that my water had broken!

So they hooked me up to the monitor and (i think they called it) a stress test was done to poor baby Lucas, haha. They poked my tummy, shook my tummy, dug their hands in the sides of my tummy, all trying to get him to move. They couldn't.
So they pull out this buzzer and kept trying to get him to move with the sound/vibrations from the buzzer. He moved ONCE!

They weren't too pleased so I get another ultrasound tomorrow to check the fluid around him.

Not too excited of the reasoning behind the ultrasound but super excited to get to see him again!!

Let us know what you find out tomorrow-I'm sure everything is fine! And I know you are looking forward to seeing Lucas!

They had me on the heart monitor for 25 minutes, said his hearbeat was perfect and absolutely nothing wrong with it. They're concerned that he might not have enough amniotic fluid-- she said that the less fluid, the less he can move around.

So we'll see.
Anything for another peak. Hehe.

Just wanted to provide an update -- my c-section is scheduled for Monday, March 16th --

Baby is projected at 7 lbs, 9 oz as of today. I am not dilated at all so it seems the c-section (which is 5 days early from due date) will be the way I go.

I hope all goes well tomorrow! It sounds like you will be going for a Biophysical Profile (BPP) ultrasound which measures movement and the amniotic fluids. I have been going for them twice a week. I do have to admit, it is nice to see the baby this often.

Indeed, good luck to all the March mommies that are just about ready to go! I was offline all day yesterday, we had a funeral to go to. But I see that Staley hasn't checked in, I'm wondering if she did go into labor all on her own ...... maybe we'll get some baby pics soon.

I need to start taking belly pics. I haven't at all yet & I'm gonna be 14 weeks on Saturday. I don't have any belly pics from my first pg either. I felt like I was only *just* starting to look obviously pg when I had my son. I think I only have like 2 pics of me pg from last time. And now, I feel like I'm about as big now as I was when I had my son. So it's just a bit weird to say the least.

And Patsy, good luck at the u/s today, hopefully everything is just fine. Maybe he's just really sleepy, 'cause he's busy growin'!

Hi girls. Had my u/s yesterday. Natalie is now 1.7 pounds and I am at 24 weeks. We got the cutest picture of her yawning. He wants to see me for another u/s when I am 34 weeks. Everything looks good.

Piecey- Hope all goes well today.

I haven't been yet.
I worked until 6:15, just got home... and luckily, the only time the hospital could get me in for an ultrasound is 7:30 tonight. Good thing, too, those other tellers would have been awfully cranky if they'd had to close for me! You close the Friday when you work Saturday. Joy.

I think we're going to get chinese after the ultrasound but I'll report back when I get home.

Hopefully all is well. He woke me up kicking me this morning-- I texted DH to come feel (seems me talking scares him) and Lucas was moving pretty steady for almost 10 minutes, DH could even feel him. So that has me thinking good things.
Except I haven't felt him since.

We'll see!

Hi all! Sorry I have been out for awhile. I get to read the posts almost daily but it is on my lunch break and I don't want to log in and post from work. If that makes sense.

I had another ultrasound yesterday and the Dr. has pushed my due date back to July 8th. I had an u/s 5 weeks ago and the baby measured 13 days behind the dates I gave (I know my dates!). So they scheduled this u/s to compare and make sure that she is growing ok or if the date needed to be changed. She has defintely grown but still showed a due date of July 8th. So it was good news in that respect but I did not want to change my date I know for sure what my LMP was but I guess not for sure when I ovulated. Anyone else had the date moved due to the ultrasound?
