Ok...I've been browsing this site for about a month now and everyday I get more overwhelmed.

My future DH and I will be honeymooning at WDW April 18-22.

We're both very excited. Needless to say, neither of us has been anywhere close to WDW. About as far east as we've gone is Tennessee (we live in OKlahoma). The biggest theme park? (don't laugh) Six Flags over Texas.

So yes, we're going to be in for culture shock. I can't even phathom what it will be like. My DF and I were talking the other night and neither of us can believe that we're actually going....it just doesn't seem real! I mean I've dreamed of going there since I was like 2!

Now, I know that we won't be able to see and do everything in just 5 days...but what are the "must-sees"??

I guess I need a guideline...a plan. What rides should I make it a point to get on. Which parks should I spend the most time at? I want to be prepared. We were just going to go and "wing it", but I don't want to miss anything....I'm a DIS-er now!

Thanks in advacne everyone!!

How wonderful! I love your story about waiting since you were 2.
If I were you I would buy a guidebook. It gives you an outline of all the parks and describes rides and places to eat. The passporter is a great one.

I would do a different park each day then rest after lunch or swim then hit the EMH park at night. You will get to see quite a bit I would think.

The most important thing to remember is that **you can always go back again!** Whatever you miss this time will probably still be there the next time you go. In fact, most of us here on the DIS have been back mutilple times and very few would say they have seen everything.

Pick out the activities or rides that seem the most important to you, see those, and then relax and have fun. Much of what I like about WDW happens spontaneously. The street entertainers might come out just as you're passing down Main Street, or the green army men might show up in front of Mickey's Hat at MGM.

Have a plan for each day and then go with the flow. I would also recommend the passporter guide. I never go without it.

If I were you, I would make sure that you see all of the night shows. Spectromagic & Wishes in MK, Fantasmic in MGM & Illuminations in Epcot. These are definate can't miss things. They are just so amazing to watch. Enjoy your planning. Remember, it is a VACATION, so don't go too crazy, take the time to enjoy the magic!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

You don't mention food, but if you haven't already, you should make some Priority Seatings (Disney's brand of reservations) sooner rather than later. Pick some nice restaurants (you can browse menus at allearsnet.com) and make some plans. That will give your time some structure to work around.

I recommend the Fantasmic Dinner Package in order to see the show at MGM. It cuts down on the necessity to queue up too early, leaving you more time to enjoy the attractions. Mama Melrose's is excellent.

Also, there are special places to watch the firework shows. People have recommended Wishes from Poly beach, Illuminations from Chefs de Paris, and when you go to Epcot, you'll feel like you've been around the world.

Finally, get bride and groom mickey ears asap when you arrive so you get the full honeymoon treatment. You might even call merchandising at 407.363.6200 to get them before you go!

ps. there have been some delivery delays with Passporters this year. I would check with them before just ordering as your time is quickly approaching. You might want to pop by a bookstore and just pick up Frommers now, so you can know what to expect.

Hope you have a magical wedding and honeymoon!

I ordered mine from Amazon.com and I had my Passporter within 5 days. You could always try that. I just got it last week. :goodvibes
