newburgh airport question

i just bought my airline tickets flying out of newburgh. i have only flown once before, out of newark and i misjudged how long it would take me to get there. so i ended up being 4 hours early for my flight. so my question is... how early should i show up for my flight? taking into consideration security and all. i have read that i have to have my boarding pass before i will be let through security. i have e-tickets. how does this work? my flight leaves at 11:25am. thank you for the advice.

I normally fly out of Albany, NY & show up approx 2 hours before my scheduled flight time. I, too, will be flying out of Newburgh, NY this year & was concerned about the time factor. I called the airline (Southeast) and they advised to allow at least 2 hours - they said the entire process of checking in, receivining boarding passes & security should take about an hour, but to arrive earlier because the boarding passes were "first come, first serve". If in doubt, give the airline a call. Hope this helps.
