Hi, I just signed up and have been reading all the great posts. I'm sure I'll come across things as time goes on, but I was hoping to get a jump start on a few questions. We're planning a trip to Disneyland and wanted to try staying at the Disneyland hotel this time (stayed at the disney Pier hotel last time). We're going with family, so we need 4 rooms. I saw that there is a 2 bedroom suite, that appears to have a common living area. That seems like it would work out good for gathering after the day at the park for everyone to hang out, etc. Has anyone stayed there with that setup and how was it? I had heard the rooms at the disneyland hotel hadn't been remodeled and looked older than some og the other hotels in the area. Has that changed? If anyone has any advice on these questions, or tips on how to make the reservations (most convenient and also most thorough) to make sure you get what you think your getting. Everytime I book a hotel, I seem to get there and what they promised is not what is available, etc. I really appreciate your input or experiences. Thanks, Denny

I'd call the Disneyland Hotel and ask. They are super nice and probably know more about the rooms than we do.

Welcome! We stayed at DLH mid-May and I thought the rooms were nice. I've never stayed there before so I have no idea if they have been updated, but they didn't seem out-of-date to me.

Either way...I'd call the hotel and talk to them, they are pretty helpful!

I think I might be able to help...we have stayed at the DH the last two times we went. The first one in May of 06 and just this passed December. Both times we stayed in a two room suite.

The one in 06 was on the top floor of the Wonder tower looking towards both CA and DL. The room towards the CA side was two queens and a pull out sofa, the one on the Disney side was a King bed. In order to get to the king room you did pass a small living area, with another couch *I believe a fold out as well* a, desk, and a few chairs. There are two full baths in each room and there is also 1/2 bath. And each with a tiny wet bar complete with sink and fridge. *there is also a fridge in the two queen room*

When we went in Dec...We stayed in two suites because of a mix up...we wanted the same set up as before. One king and one room with two queens. The hotel mixed up and gave us four queens, *In the Magic Tower* this room had a much larger sitting area; at least it seemed like it. It still had the pull out couch and chairs, but if felt bigger for some reason. And I think it was on like the 10th floor. We only stayed there for a night before we moved.

The next night we moved back over to the Wonder tower and had the same set up as the first time. The one king/ two queens and I believe it was on the 10th floor as well. All of the suites had a great view of the parks and parking lot.

The first time in 06 it was supposed to be Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy, Daddy Auntie *me* and Nephew*under 2*, Daddy had to be shipped out so he missed out. So it was a party of 6. We got an addition in Aug, so when we went in Dec of 07 it was a party of 7, Daddy wasn't able to get out of work *Military* Both times the rooms have been more then comfortable for our large family and 2 kids under the age of 5. If you have any other questions I’ll try an answer them. Hope that this helps

We stayed in a two bedroom suite in the Wonder Tower. While the rooms were definitely older, I found them to be clean and nice. Our room set up was the same as Auntie Tink has described. From what I understand, there are no true two bedroom suites at the DLH. You get a one-bedroom suite and then another standard room across the hall. They make it a two bedroom suite with a door across the hallway. We used door stops to keep the doors to the rooms open since our daughter was sleeping by herself in the standard room.

We found the CMs at DLH to be extremely helpful.
