Hi; I have been to WDW a lot, but less often since I got married and had two great kids with special needs. Went last June and loved it but way too crowded for the kiddoes. We're going again in Sept. (Yeah!) but aren't sure about the best place to stay since we have my mom coming too. I've heard the Contemporary is very load and you can reeaally hear the fireworks. Is this true in the Garden wing as well? Any other suggestions appreciated as well. We're currently booked into PORS (since its the only moderate w/ room for 5) but would consider changing if really worth it. Thanks, and I look forward to being part of this forum. Looking forward to meeting ya'll.

I agree about the All star suite. I have read that the POR trundle bed is really not larger than a crib mattress. I don't know the age of your children, but I would think a child older than about 6 or 7 might be uncomfortable. The moderate resort room size is really not all that large also. I think for a little bit more $$ I would rather stay in the suite. Some people on these boards have reported that the sofa and chair sleepers are a fantastic design and very comfy, not your usual fold out sofa with the bar in your back. Go to the resorts section on wdwinfo.com and check out the pictures of both resorts. I can't give any advice on the Contemporary because we have never stayed there, but our room at BC slept 5 and was much larger than the moderates (POR).

Welcome! and I hope this helps. You will love all the info on these boards!

I have stayed at the All-Stars & the Pop Century. I would also definitely recommend the All-Star suites. I hope you have great trip! We are going in September too, wish it was sooner though. :)

Unfortunately, I can't answer your resort question, but I just wanted to say :welcome: to the DIS boards!!

I, too, think a suite at All-Star Music would be great for your family, and give you a little more room. You would have 2 bathooms, a small fridge, a microwave & a coffeemaker.

A cabin at Fort Wilderness is also an option for your family.

Welcome to the DIS!!! Check out the cabins at Ft Wilderness campgrounds.
