Hello! I've been lurking on the dis board for the last week and have decided to join. I just wanted to introuduce myself and hope to make some new friends.

My name is Deanna. I live in Denver colorado with my husband of 6 years and 1 year old daughter. My husband and I are taking her on her first trip to WDW in September. This site has been so helpful in our planning process and I've become addicted almost overnight.

If anyone has any tips on taking an 18month old to WDW I could sure use the advice.

Best wishes!!

Welcome to the board and congrats on joining :thumbsup2 You are going to find that you become more and more addicted to it as time goes on! I don't have any children yet, so I don't have any tips for bringing a small child but have a lot of good tidbits. If you need help, just ask! :goodvibes

Welcome!! You'll get tons of helpful information and tips here!
I took my youngest DS to DW when he was 14 months old. We went in August, so it was HOT. The only advice I really express is hydrate! Lots of water and lots of sunscreen. A hat if your DD will keep it on, mine wouldn't. :lmao: We also took advantage of the water play areas, he absolutely adored these, lol.

Thanks for the advice. Luckily DD is used to wearing a hat, she's still bald (just like her daddy) :rotfl2: And it's a better alternative then sticking sunblock on her cute little peach fuzz.

I'm looking forward to more great advice.

Welcome! I love this site! My DH and i have been having fun reading all the great and humorous trip reports. Have a magical trip!:wizard:

Hi,
I am very new to this,or any discussion boards, so fogive me if I don't do this right.
We are goin to WDW this Oct. and this site has taught me everything, so thank you everyone. The last time we were at Disney was in 1989. This time we are going without children. We will be staying on site.
I've been reading up on everything and many times I read about "open seasonal". Does that mean there are parts of Disney that are closed? Can someone explain this to me. Thanks again.
