Hi everyone. I'm new to this MB and sorta lost!
I will be going to WDW in less than 2 weeks and I'm so not prepared!
DD and family are taking this old Grandma to see "THE MOUSE". We went in Feb of 08 for 1 day! They were working in Florida and took a few days to go to DW and the beach. Needless to say we didn't see a forth of MK then.
My question is-- We have ADR for CP for 3:35! According to the website lunch is until 3:00 and dinner is from 4:00 to close. Will we be eating lunch or dinner? I know we will probably still have a wait to be seated as there will be 7 of us.

We will be staying at the POP. Will they have maps of all the parks available there? It would be so great to have them at the room to look at beforehand.

We will be there for 10 days and have the waterparks also. Any suggestion on what is a must see or do? We have 3 adults and 4 kids--(17-15-9-7)
Want to make sure the teens enjoy themselves too!

Is the "Not so scary holloween" worth the extra? And, does anyone remember the mousketeer club? I think that would be a great costume. I only remember Annette and Bobby! I think they wore white shirts with their names on the back and black pants or skirts.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Welcome, Nana!

It looks like our paths may cross at the Pop, as we have one there on the 18th.

I don't know about your 3:45 ressie for CP, sorry.

Maps of the parks and resorts can be found at www dot wdwinfo dot com [forward slash] resortmaps. You'll be able to start planning before you ever leave home!

The biggest piece of advice I can give you [and you may already kinda know it:goodvibes] is that WDW is enormous. 10 straight days of fun will absolutely exhaust everyone. Make sure to schedule an "off" day or two, sleep late, hang out at the pool - generally relax and recharge. Think of the trip as a marathon, not a sprint. If you push too hard at the begining, you will certainly pay for it for the rest of the trip.

We use the rule "anyone done, everyone done" as the day will only be as "fun" as the "least into it" enjoys it.

I have never been to MNSSHP, but have been the MVMCP twice. We are not buying Halloween party tickets....we found that the late night put us out of daytime groove for two days [day of and day after] and was frankly really expensive for what would be included in the day's ticket if Disney just had the park open during the party hours. I know that lots of other people enjoy the parties....so you'll no doubt get some positive input to help out your decision.

As I said, welcome the Dis...check out the boards....ask questions....you'll have a great trip!:)

As far as CP lunch/dinner, i really dont' know. My best guess would be that you'll have the last of lunch (with no new stuff coming out) and the start of dinner. I remember that's the way buffets are in Vegas. :)

I would imagine Disney Quest would be really fun for those ages!!

MNSSHP: not worth it, imo. We went last year and that was the most crowded we had seen MK all week. The lines were longer for rides and tons of people. The lines for candy were super long and i was expecting better candy, honestly. (chocolate bars etc instead of hard candy and Mary Janes, etc). The parade was cool, the extra characters were cool and fireworks were awesome (not sure how different they are than regular Wishes though). For all of you, that would cost A LOT of money to attend, I'd skip it.

This is a wonderful place for info so you found the right spot!

I will pass along some of the small things we found on our trips to DW parks.
If you go to the waterparks, Typhoon Lagoon was our favorite, and if you need a snack, try the donuts with chocolate dipping sauce, they are delicious!!! Speaking of snacks, the Dole Whips in MG are awesome, I know alot of folks have tried these, I just wish I could figure out the recipe to make them myself!!

If you have lunch at AK, eat early at the Flame Tree and pick a spot by the water and the ducks will come up to visit as well as a few Ibis and you can have a great view of Expedition Everest. It is a nice quite break.

Enjoy it with the kids, and like someone posted schedule in a few breaks, we learned that last time after coming back to the rooms just to crash and not stir for hours after overloading our days!

Have fun, can't wait to go back myself!!pirate:
