Hi all!
IOA is new to me, and we are planning on headed there for 1 day- is there a 'tour planner' out there to help me go when and where? Also....How do I find out the $ difference between the express pass and the VIP pass? We are staying onsite at the Polynesian only.
Thank you!!

Express Plus pass pricing as well as the VIP Express pass depends on the day you're visiting. You can check the website...plug in the date you want to visit and get the price. Remember...the VIP Express includes your park admission so there's no need in buying separate park tickets. Plus...it's unlimited access for the duration of your ticket.

If you see the Express Plus passes are cheap for the day you're going, it's a good bet the parks will not be busy and the EP will not be needed.

Most people don't really have a touring plan since it's only two parks but you should look through the trip reports to get some idea of what posters do.

It looks like you have to pay for your tickets plus 150.00- that sounds CRAZY! ...and the unlimited rides doesn't sound right either, according to the fine print... has anyone bought one of the express passes out here and how did they keep track of what ride you've already been on?

VIP Tour Info

1 Day/1 Park Tour

You and your party, along with other VIP Tour guests, will enjoy a guided walking tour of either Universal Studios Florida OR Universal's Islands of Adventure.

You will receive priority entrance into at least eight (8) major rides/attractions as your guide escorts you throughout the park.

Tour groups do not exceed 12 guests and the duration of the tour is approximately 5 hours.Price: $150.00 per person + tax
NOTE: Tour prices do not include park admission. Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

The VIP Tour is something different...I was talking about the VIP Express tickets...not the tour. Yes...the VIP tour is expensive and shouldn't even be considered unless you're going during the busiest times of the year and only if you have the extra money.

If you are wondering about the VIP Express tickets, the link I gave you is correct. You would get unlimited Express access during the length of your ticket. EPs are scanned when you enter the attraction queue so they know if you've used it that day.

Are you talking about something else?

the link for the VIP pass w/ park ticket is below in
i copied this from my post in
"the difference of express line vs vip pass" in the forums.

if you did the vip tickets, it would be redundant if you stayed onsite.
you are paying twice for the same perk. (other than park ticket)

http://www.universalorlando.com/Them...0park ticket

cost and dates valid:
https://secure.universalstudios.com/...ternalID=UOVIP

if the cost of the ticket for a 2 day 2 park non peak ticket was $219.99 + taxes, and if there are 2 in the group, you could be paying over $450 for the vip tickets.
if it was on a standard day, the price before taxes would be $259.99 per person.

might as well stay on site, get the free unlimited express line usage and buy a 2 day, 2 park pass from UT.

the non peak dates could be on a low crowd day.
if that were the case, the epp wouldn't be a necessity.

the vip pass is very expensive.
if you want to use the express lines but stay off site, buy the epp.

but check the website first for epp costs.
like metro stated prior, if the epp is cheap, then there is no need for it.

Ahhh!! I see! Hmm.. looks like it'll be 300$ more for 3 of us to do unlimited and the others to just do express, is it really worth it? Ugg! I do like the hulk, but at 300bucks... how do they keep track??

they scan your ticket.
it keeps track of the rides/shows that you have been on with it.
