Hi all! I just joined this morning and figured i'd jump right in!
In the last 16 hrs my hubby and I have decided to book a Christmas 06 trip. Neither of us have been in over 20 years. So far reading the various posts has been a tremendous help with lots of info!
My question:
The park hopper ticket option seems the way to go to me. He doesn't think we'll hit more than 1 park in a single day with an 8 and a 6 yr old in tow so he doesn't think it'll be necessary. So I guess the question is obvious...
Park hopper pass or not?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We did not do a hopper our first trip and regreted it. After that we always got the hoppers. It gives you the opportunity to enjoy everything at anytime. Even the best laid out plans for where to go when need to be open for flexibility. We find that the hopper makes it easier for the kids because you can come and go as wanted/needed. If getting tired of walking around one park....hop on a bus and go to another. You might want to take advantage of the extra evening hours....that makes for one long day if you are doing one park that whole day. You might be finished at AK in one day and decide to swing on over to Epcot for the evening Illimunations (fireworks). If the kids are tired you can go back for a nap/rest/swimming time.....if you picked a park that closes at 6:00 or so...the hopper allows you to get into another park for the evening.

In my opinion, get the hopper!! :thumbsup2

First of all, :welcome: :disrocks:

You'll get lots of opinions on this one.

I look at the hopping option with kids this way. If your kids get tired mid-day and you guys want a break back at the resort, then when you decide to go back AFTER the break, you don't have to go back to the same park. It gives you options. I find this especially useful towards the end of the trip, when you might want to go back and do some things you missed, or some things you want to do again, but don't necessarily want to spend a whole day doing. I hope this makes sense.

I agree with the previous poster that it is nice to have the hopping option with smaller children. Most people definitly hop after doing AK in the morning. We found it most to our advantage later in our trip when we would hop around a good bit on the last day or two. Please don't forget you can always upgrade your tickets at anytime before they expire(add days, add hopper, add non-expire)---hope this helps----sp :thumbsup2

I love having the hopper passes. We are a family of four as well DS10 DD2. We always break in the afternoon, and as someone has mentioned go someplace different later on. There have been times where we didn't hop, but at least I wasn't restricted on what I could do. For example, if we are having dinner in MK, but already did all we wanted to do there. We would go to Epcot or something, and then go over to MK for dinner. Without the hopper we couldn't do that.

Hey Michelle,
I think you made the right choice in picking the hopper. Last year when we went we didnt book w/ it (i dont know what I was thinking) After one day there w/o having it we went down to the desk and added it.
If you are up in the air w/ adding it or not, hold off and do it at the resort but I think its well worth the money.
I dont know when you are going but here are a couple of reasons why I think you should have it *besides the obvious that you hop, but if there is some rides that you didnt get to and decide to go to them you have your choice of doing so. You can make reservations at different parks for dinner and leave or stay after it. If the kids get tired of one park... you can leave and go to another...
in other words... HOP HOP HOP HOP!!!! :Pinkbounc
