hi all im in heaven! i have been reading these dis boards forever -- and never even knew there was a scrapbooking swap on here! this is fantastic. i used to be a consultant for a major scrapbooking company and i hosted and participated in multiple swaps all the time. please let me know if i can fill in your swap -- or how to get involved -- what kind of swaps are done on here? i prefer 12x12 pages one or two page spreads -- but im willing to do anything -- please let me know if your hosting and need a particpant -- im so excited to have found this!!!!

If you check the top of this forum, there are sticky threads that discuss the items that are swapped. We mostly do elements as they are easier to mail then whole pages.

There are currently sign ups for a "Fill in the Gap" swap, so go check that out and see if you are interested in any of the openings. I'm very sure it open to all.

thanks -- so glad to be here! i just posted a swap idea -- so hopefully ill get some people to sign up....12x12 pages are pretty easy to swap -- i have done hundreds of these -- u just send in a priority box -- i think the size is around 13x15 -- its a flat rate box -- only 3.85! im so excited!!!

Just a few words of warning...we don't tend to have to many swaps going into the Christmas season, because everyone is so busy. Unfortunately, also I think people are a little gunshy about new people hosting. There was an unfortunate incident this summer where people did not get their swap back because the hostess went MIA. So if there isn't as much traffic as you expect in your thread, this might explain why.

Besides the "Fill in the Gaps" swap, there should be an MGM swap starting at the beginning of Dec, I think, and many more swaps starting in January. You can check the 2007 Swap thread to see the ideas that are being considered for next year, and post your own ideas.

We are a friendly bunch on here! So glad you found us! We're more than just swapping too, so check out the living room under the top headings for other things going on...

This is a slow time for swaps because we are all taking a break for the holidays. But we will start up again like crazy in January. I hope that you find a few swaps that you are interested in, and jump in and sign up. We have also had some card swaps, recipe swaps, paper bag albums, along with other themed swaps. Unfortunately, we have way too much fun, and so we all seem to be addicted...

And it's true, a new hostess ruined things for other new hostesses (I was involved in that one ), so please don't be offended if people seem a little shy to sign up at first. I can attest that the quality of the work on this board is amazing! Did you have a chance to check out some of the older swap pics? There are some really clever people here!
