Hi all, I have a question:

How many points do you get initially when you become a DVC member?

Let's say if I purchase directly from Disney, and sign the contact for 160 points in April 2007 with Use Year of February, do I have to wait till February 2008 to get my first 160 points? or do you get 160 points for 2007 right away?

What about if the use year start like October? will i get 160 right away and then another 160 in October 2007?

Or am I totally got it all wrong and your use year for new purchase start on the same month you sign the contract?

If you purchase at any resort except AKV, you will get points from the current Use Year immediately and another allotment of points when the Use Year begins again. (If you purchase 160 points at SSR with an October Use Year, you'd have 160 points immediately and another 160 on October 1, 2007.)

If you have a February Use Year, you would immediately get your 2007 points and another allotment on February 1, 2008.

If you purchase at AKV you will get points effective after the resort opens, unless you opt for the Developer Points incentive where you'd get some points immediately.
