Hello,

I am trying to plan a trip to disney for my family of 6. There is so much I want to do but time and money will be a factor. Airfare from Maine will take a major chunk out of our budget, as will park tickets. I originally wanted to stay on site at the Wilderness cabins but now think we can afford to do more things if we stay off site. My question is basically this...I would like to spend 4 days doing WDW (one day for each place, roughly), then one day at SeaWorld and one day at Discovery Cove. I would like to use public transportation if possible and stay at a reasonably priced hotel central to both locations. I plan to purchase an all inclusive package at Discovery Cove as it includes a dolphin swim and admission to SeaWorld. I know it's a lot to ask but whatever help/suggestions offered would be great.

Thanks!

Almost all offsite hotels offer some sort of transportation to the parks but if you want to go with public transportation, a hotel on International Drive would probably do. The Lynx buses and I-Drive Trolley will get you just about anywhere. I-Drive has some nice hotels and some that aren't that great, so check http://www.tripadvisor.com for reviews before you book the hotel.

For WDW admission, you will need a 4-day MYW base ticket. You can buy them at http://www.ticketmania.com/discounttickets.shtml for about $3 less than the gate price. It's not a big savings but it will buy a few Mickey Bars. I don't know of anyone who discounts Discovery Cove tickets. Depending on when you go the price can be as high as $259/person plus tax. You have to reserve your visit directly with Discovery Cove. Here's a link to their website:

I know that I didn't answer all you questions but I hope this helped.

Ask away on these boards and you will get a lot of help.

I would love to know if Discovery Cove is worth it for a budget minded person.
