Hello everyone! I'm so excited! I'm getting ready to book my first trip to the Fort:yay:!
I've been a lurker for a couple of years now, and with your help (unbeknownst to you), I've booked a cruise and a marathon trip. Now it's time for the one I've always wanted to do!

1. We will be camping in a pop-up, and are looking at the partial hookup sites. Any information or thoughts on the partial sites not found on the WDW site? We don't need sewer as we don't use the potty in the camper, (I don't do toilets on vacation )

2. Loop ?: Which loop should we look into as we do not wish to be near others pets? - No offense Please- Doggies are cute and I love them- just not when they're barking me awake after a late night in the park.

3. Thanks to you guys I know about Kenny!:woohoo:

4. As much as I love camping, I love to be pampered too. We are planning to do 1/2 of our 10 day trip on the DDP and 1/2 off DDP. I need to book 2 seperate ressies right? What's the best way to do this? Any thoughts on whether to do DDP the first half or the second half of the trip?

5. Is there any other info you think I'd benefit from? Thanks in advance for your help!:)

There are 2 pop/up loops 1500 and 2000. 1500 is adjacent to 1600 - 1900 all pet loops. 2000 is a wee bit remote, but no pets.

Yes you will need 2 reservations. I'd definitely do the DDP 2nd half. Spoil yourself at the end of vacation. :thumbsup2

Depending on your schedule, you may want to do it first.

The reason I say this is that your credits are good until midnight the day you "checkout" (not really but you know what I mean) so you can use the credits from your first res while you are officially on your second, at least for the one day.

1. Thanks for the loop info.
2. After seeing another post, am I correct that there is Not a place for water from the sink to drain to? We need to have our drain bucket (not sure of the "real" name for that)?
3. We're still debating which half to do our DDP for. 1st thought: DDP for the 2nd half b/c we can just stop on our way into WDW and pick up the groceries that we don't want to travel 9 hours with. 2nd thought: On the other hand I agree with chartle about the 1st half that way we're sure we don't lose any credits.
One plan is to see what days I can get ADR's @ the resturants we want.
Plan two is to make a final descion on whether we want to "play hard" in the parks for the 1st half or 2nd half. I just want to make sure we take more time to relax with DD8 at the pools, and camp-ground. On our last trip with her, she only complained about 1 thing: She didn't get to play in the pool enough! Of course she was 6 @ the time and didn't really understand that to accomodate her every wish of riding TOT, Space Mt, and Mt. Everest over and over we had to sacrifice leaving the parks to swim princess:
4. I'm making the actual ressies this week. What's the best way? Start with 2 seperate ressies, or make 1 for the orginal 10 days, and then call back and change? I'm asking because I'm hoping not to have to move once we set up. Thanks for all your help :goodvibes

I would make 2 seperate reservations and have them "link" the reservations. A few years back I had to piece together a trip during Christmas and I had 3 or 4 different reservations and I did not have to move.

Good luck and have fun planning.

No drains at the partials. easiest place is to dump in the laundry sink or the commodes.

If you're sure about having to make 2 different reservations I'd do it from the beginning. It does make sense for DDP at the beginning for use of credits. But, going from "spoiled" to cooking would be tough on the psyche for me.

When our son was young, we'd go to WDW he wanted to swim and play in the arcade. Go figure. :confused3

We always get a prefered site. Sometime even the new Premium sites. I think they have better locations in the campground. have always stayed in the pop up. This year staying in a prefered in a hard side. Its really kinda crazy how it works. I have camped next to tents in a Premium site.
