Newbie to DLP

Hi. We have been to WDW before but never DLP. Friends of ours have booked Feb half term with their kids and we thought we would go for a couple of days and have a night in Paris at the end of the trip.

My questions are:
I have looked at the hotel Relais Spa Chessy val d'Europe for 2 nights, is this hotel easy to reach from CDG airport and back again and also how to get to the parks and back, do we book tickets for the train before we leave or would you suggest a coach transfer from the airport to Disney?

Where would we buy park tickets from, would at the gate be best, it would be 2 adults for 2 days.

Also, does DLP have the old fastpass system?

I'm sure I have loads of other questions, it's all happening quite fast and as the other half said we can go I want to book it before he changes his mind

check websites for cheaper tickets, an offer might be available.
Well, the fastpass system is that some rides have fastpasses. You scan your ticket and get a fastpass, you can have one fastpass at the time. When the time slot comes, you're able to get another fastpass ticket. Fastpass shows time slot when you have to come back.

You can get to Val D'europe by train from CDG or use a shuttle such as RS transports where you can book a shared shuttle. There is also the VEA bus, but that tends to work out more than a shared shuttle and takes a little longer.
Yes the FP system is the same as the old one at WDW.
If you go to the Studios for rope drop aim to be there by 9.15 at the latest, they'll let you in at 9.30 then head straight for first ride. I would do Crush's Coaster as it has no FP and is very popular. Then you can pick up a FP for Ratatouille, ToT or RnR.
In the main park there will have been EMH's so I would go to Indiana Jones and then get a FP for BTM if you like coasters.
