Newbie to Asperger's, have question

Stumom, since you live in Oakland, try these sites to help you:

http://www.dds.cahwnet.gov/rc/rc380.cfm

or

http://www.rceb.org

I have a DS 18 who was recently diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. In my research, I came across a College Internship Program offered at four colleges nationwide. I found the link to the site above via this program offered at Cal. We live in Illinois so we are looking into the program offered at Indiana University.

Also, I think this is a terrific book: Quirky, Yes - Hopeless, No: Practical ways to help your child with Asperger's Syndrome become more socially accepted. The author is Cynthia La Brie Norall

Good luck and continue to reach out.
