Hi Everyone

Been lurking around and thought I would say hello.

Am off to DLRP with my friend in June for 4 nights staying at the sequoia lodge in a montana room and travel with Eurostar direct to the park. Am so excited, been to Disney in the USA a few times and I went to DLRP when it was Euro Disney and didn't think too much then! Luckily my friend went last year and said it had changed and she twisted my arm to go this year! It didn't need much twisting!:rotfl:

I have a couple of questions if anyone would like to answer.

1- What are the chances that my friend and I will be able to sit on the Eurostar together, have been reading some scary stories!

2- When do we pick our park tickets up? At the travel agent, on the train or at the hotel as we are a little confused?

3 - Has anyone done The Paris city sightseeing trip from the Hotel New York and if you have was it any good? Neither my friend and I are very confident about going on the train to Paris by ourselves but we would like to see Paris.

4 - If we pre book the character tea party with our travel agent do we get to say what date or is it a date they choose within your trip?

Many thanks to anyone who can help, I'm sure I will be posting lots more questions!!:)

Hello and welcome.

You usually get your park tickets either from the hotel or on the train depending on what you have booked.

Ive never booked the tea party through a travel agent- just whilst there but I would have thought you'd be able to chosse the date- there are usually 2 sittings per day (sometimes only one if its a quiet time) round tea time

Hi fionamarynev and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

If you book eurostar seperatly you should be able to chose your seats.
I think if booking via Disney you dont get that choice.

Hi there,

We've booked character meals including the Tea Party through a travel agent and have chosen the days. :)

Forgot to say, we've booked a package twice including Eurostar via a Travel Agent and have been seated together on all journeys, even when there were 7 of us.

Hi fionamarynev@hotmail, :welcome: to the DIS!

We've taken the Eurostar to DLRP three times now and have always been sat together.

If you book the Eurostar independently they send out the tickets straight away so there is more chance of being sat together, especially if you book as early as you can.

Unfortunately there's been quite a few posters who've not been allocated seats together lately but hopefully the majority of travellers are still seated together.

Can I just say that if you book Eurostar over the telephone then you can choose which way you are facing on both journeys too. Otherwise you tend to find that on one of the journeys you may be facing backwards. Also, you can specify whether you want to be sat at a table or sat side by side, where you get your own little table anyway. Personally we found sitting at a table for four where there are just two of you limits your leg room, as you find yourself sat opposite a total stranger. There is a booking fee if you do it over the phone, I think it's £5 per booking, so be aware of that.

If you then go on to book your package through Disney, i.e hotel and tickets, then you can pay extra to add the Disney Express service (£16 each I think), this would then enable you to have your luggage taken to/from your hotel, thus maximising your time in the parks :thumbsup2
