Hi all. I was lucky enough to be gifted someone’s points for a May 2020 trip (I’m not a DVC member). Do I need to purchase park tickets before making my fast passes? And can I make my ADRs and add a dining plan on closer to my arrival date? TIA

Yes, you need to have tickets linked to your MDE account to make FP+ reservations. If you want to make them at the 60 day mark, you also need to have an on site resort reservation linked to your MDE account. (DVC resorts qualify).

The owner of the points needs to add the dining plan at least 48 hours in advance and it must be paid for in full when it's added.

You can make ADRs yourself whenever your window opens.

Thank you! I had a feeling about the fast passes. Trying to figure out what to budget for first.
But adding the DDP after making ADRs wont effect the reservations?

I just wanted to add that some dining reservations require you to prepay if not on the dining plan. They will credit you back at the actual reservation if you use dining credits. That could be an issue for some people.

Remember for all the dining facilities in the theme parks (and water parks), you need park admission to enter the park to dine.
