pardon if I sound clueless, but I am!

where do I find out what is included in cruise price? taxes? all food? drink? entertainment? I know tipping is not.

is level of swaying equal to stateroom catergory?? i.e. is it more swaying on level 3then level 11?

does anyone ever feel clautrophobic? seasick??

offshore excursions - worth it?? (Bahamas cruise)

what do you budget beyond the cruise price?????

tips to get the most bang for my buck???!!!! any welcome :)

Welcome to the DIS Cruise Board.

I will start with your first question

Some of the things included in your cruise price are:

All food while on the ship (only exception are prepackaged snack found in the snack shop just outside the Walt Disney Theater)
All non-alcoholic drinks in the main dining rooms
Room Service (not including sodas)
Evening Entertainment
1st Run Movies
Night Clubs have no cover.
Special lectures and series.

Somethings not covered that you may wish to budget for:

Specialty Drinks on Deck
All alcoholic drinks
Souveniers
Photos
Shore Excursions
Spa Treatments

As for extra swaying on different decks - I hear that there is less swaying on the lower floors, but I have not stayed there. I have always stayed at least on Deck 5.

As for seasickness - OH YES - I got extremely seasick on my first cruise. It was awful. But then I took a meclizine tablet and felt 250% better. Now I take the tablets about 5 hours before I board the ship and never feel a thing.

If you tend to get claustrophobic - I would suggest a veranda cabin. The Disney cabins are large when compared to the industry, but all cruiseship cabins are extremely small when compared to hotel rooms. The hallways in the cabin areas are not huge either, but the common areas are wide a spacious.

Off shore excursions - it is a matter of opinion. My DH and I are very cautious people. I prefer to have an organized excursion in a new and unfamiliar place. Others are more adventurous and like checking things out on thier own.

Hope this helps and I am sure others will add more later.

wow, thanks for all that info

how about getting back to the airport? is transportation covered from the resort to ship if you book land/sea seperately??

what do you do with the day if your flight is much later in the day, like afternoon and I noticed the ship docks by 9 a.m.

If you want to have transportation included, it is extra. This is the disney cruise bus. I found it nice the first time we did the land/sea because everything is taken care of. It also depends on how many people you have. This time, we have a larger group and it is cheaper to have a towncar service take us to port. If you want the transfer through Disney and it is not on your confirmation sheet, just call and have them add it.

As for what to do before your flight back, it depends on if you have transportation available or not. Our fight home was after 4:00pm but we had bus transfers to the airport so we didn't have a choice. We basically waited in the airport. They did have dvd players for rent. We ended up napping!

If you have a rental car, you have many options. You can visit Cape Canaveral, go to downtown disney or visit the different hotels and have lunch.
