Hello,

I am new to WDW and DVC points and have some questions. I understand that non DVC members can rent points from DVC members correct? If so, what resorts are available in the WDW area? I am looking to book a honeymoon for my fiance and I and want to look at the option of renting points.......(details removed)....... Before I go too far I want to know what our resort options are to see if its something we would want to do.

THANKS!

Allears has a lot of information and pictures of the DVC resorts.

This is for Animal Kingdom Villas, you'll find the other resorts in the left menu.
You'll find many useful threads in this forum: every resort has his pros and cons, you may want to look at the pictures to see if you prefere any decor in particular, and read the forum to understand amenities, locations, restaurants and other factor that will help you decide.

Your resort selection will depend on availability. DVC resorts start booking 11 months before check in and they average a 98% occupancy rate which is different than Disney's other resorts.

You can look at the Disney World website under places to stay and look at deluxe villas and that lists all of the DVC properties. At this point though, you may be somewhat limited because DVC owners can rent at their home resorts up to 11 months out. Check out one of the rental sites and see what's available. Personally for a honeymoon I'd be more likely to stay at a deluxe resort like Grand Floridian or Polynesian, neither of which have DVC (yet- GF is in the works). Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary is the only DVC on the monorail.
