Newbie question

DH and I went to Disney in October 2003. That was his first time there and we ended up coming home with "Our Disney Souveniour" who is now 6. When we booked that trip, we did so via AAA. Now, we want to bring our 2 boys (will be 7 and 5) in October 2011, along with my mom. If we book our trip through Disney and they do a Dining package or something, will we get the discount even if we already booked it? I know with AAA, they added a package or something after we booked our trip and we got some money off our original price.

Too bad you can't move that trip up to start 9/29/11, they already have a free dinning offer, which you could book now.
To get any discounts offered after you have made your reservation you will need to call and have Disney make the reservation with the discount and apply payments you've made to it, it is not automatic. If you go this route, keep up on discounts when they are announced and call right away - Disney limits the number of rooms available for each discount and if those rooms are already taken by others your existing reservation cannot be converted to the discount.

We can bump our trip up. We're actually looking at the end of September to October. I just know I'm out for a weekend in October b/c of doing the Susan G. Komen 3 day walk in Philly.

I booked through AAA in 2003 when I stayed at the PO-Riverside. My vacation had been booked for about 6 weeks when I called the travel agent for some other unrelated issue. While they had me on the phone they checked the latest deals and I ended up saving almost $250 on the vacation. If you call them they will usually check all the deals for you and get you the best one even if you have already booked. I am going in January and I just received a PIN even though I have already booked my trip. I called and the deal I already booked is better than the PIN deal, but if the PIN deal was lower the CM told me I would have been able to get a refund on the difference. Sorry for rambling.
