Newbie Question - Replies to Messages and Posts

Hi - I am rather new on the board and I just checked the FAQ as well as a few other places and did not find the answer to the question I had, so I thought I would check with all of you.

Is there a way to set up some sort of e-mail message to let you know when someone has replied to your post and/or a response you left on another post? I find it impossible to remember everywhere I have posted and also track those threads down to view responses.

Go into USER CP near the top left of your screen. Then click on Edit Options. You will have to scroll a little down the screen, but you should see this:

Default Thread Subscription ModeWhen you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.

Change it so that you receive individual emails to threads you have subscribed (posted) to. I have mine set to "instant email notification" and I get emails anytime one of my threads has a response.

Now does this only work for threads that you have started or does it work for threads that you have replied to as well??

It tracks both.
