Newbie Question re: Ride Strategy

We will be at Universal (Studios) on March 21st--myself, hubby, and two thirteen year old girls. We have advance purchased Express Pass tickets for the day at 35.99, which probably indicates a busy day. Assuming we get there early, would it be wise to try to do a few of the biggies when the lines are short and hold back on using the Express pass until later? I am thinking this might allow the girls to do a few rides (Mummy, MIB) twice. How long of a wait is there when using Express Pass on a fairly busy day?

I've used the express pass many times and rarely had to wait over 30 mins for a ride.

try to get to the park early.
do the rides in the regular line if there is no line.

i think like you do.
there will rides that your group will want to repeat.

you can repeat the rides with the epp later when lines form.
you can only use the epp one time only.


i stay on site and get the fotl perk.
i try to use the regular lines for some of the rides to catch the story line.
for some of the rides, you miss out on a lot when you use the express line entrance.
if a line is more than 15 minutes, i use the express line then.
