Never having been to Universal before (a Disney traveler) I just reserved for Mar 30 - 5 nights @ RPH with the stay 4 play deal (2 roooms). After doing the math I realized that if I book AAA rate (251.10)and buy tickets (need 5) with current free deal I can save a few bucks. My question is: are there more opportunities for savings by dealing with the room seperate from the tickets or as a package like stay 4?

BTW - these boards are fantastic!

Thanks

Right now, I am showing $279 for a std room at the RPR with the Stay 4, Play Free. The AAA rate is $251.10 so for 5 nights with tax, this is a savings of almost $311 for 2 rooms.

Right now, they are offering a free kid ticket with each adult pass purchased which is good for 4 consecutive days admission, and that is $99 + tax per adult. What is the break-down of adults and kids?

You can save $5 off the front gate price when you buy online and receive two (2) days admission to both Universal Studios Florida® AND Universal’s Islands of Adventure® theme parks.
Plus, for a limited time, when you buy a 2-Day ticket you get:

One FREE ticket valid for children ages 3-9 with every 2-Day ticket purchased online
Two (2) additional days FREE with each ticket, for a total of four (4) consecutive days of admission
FREE Coupon booklet with savings on food and merchandise at Universal Orlando® Resort (if purchased by 11/27/05)
NOTE: Number of free children’s tickets can not exceed number of paid tickets. To receive the free child's ticket, a quantity must be entered below in the field labeled "Free Child".

I'd keep watching the rates to see if they improve as the time gets closer, but right now, I'd stick with the Stay 4, Play Free. I don't think you'd save too much switching over to AAA.

BTW, welcome to UO! You're going to love it and especially the RPR!!

I calc'd the AAA savings way at 80. but I would then own the tickets. The only opportunities would be to save on the 251.10 rate. I think I'll keep the stay 4 for now incase plans change between now and March - I won't be stuck with the tickets that way.

Hope the RPR is worth the price of admission!

Thanks
