Newbie Question about the 11 month window.

We are new to DVC and want to make reservations at BWV(our "home") at the 11 month window. Now, do I call 11 months before the day I am checking in, or 11 months from the day I am checking out. How about if, at 7 months I want to try for 4 nights at VB? Should I wait until the 4 nights are over, and then call, or can I call ,say August 5th for reservations for March 5,6,7,& 8, 2005? Do I wait until August 8th and try to get the 4 nights? I know it is harder to get VB, especially in March. Thanks for any help.

Depending on the time of year, either way would work...

A lot of people call the first day to 'test the waters' meaning that MS can tell you how busy it seems and whether or not to call day by day or wait and finish up the reservation on the last day.

Same goes for the 7 months window...

It's 11 or 7 months from your checkout day, not check-in. So if you are calling for March 5 to 8 at 11 months, you could get the full reservation on April 8 at your home resort. If you did a "day by day", you could call for March 5 on April 6 (March 5 checks out on March 6), then call every day after that (except Sat or Sun).
