Newbie question about linked reservation

Hi,
We are new AKV owners but are staying at SSR in October for our first trip as members. There was only availability for 5 nights so I waitlisted a night. The waitlist has come through but the reservation number for the additional night is different from the original. Will we have to check out and back in or change rooms? It's not a big deal, but I would like to know if it's a possibility. The unit size and view are the same for all 6 nights.

Both of your segments should have the same confirmation number, or at least our segments do for our upcoming trip. We have 3 segments due to a waitlist in the middle of our stay.

I would call MS to confirm that they link the reservations so that you do not have to check out of one room & into another.
 
Yeah I would try to get Member Services to fix it before your trip. On our first trip on points staying at SSR last year we had several segments because we had to waitlist several segments in the center. Member Services said we would not have to check out and in but when we got there, it turned out we did. However, the manager when we checked in was able to link everything else so we only had to do it once.
