Going with 2 dd's and have purchased a 14 day unlimited park to park for all 3 parks including Wet n Wild (really overkill but was only 20 dollars more per ticket than 3 day pass), I want to add express pass for the 2 or 3 days we will be at IA and UO and see they are for sale but can I buy if I purchased park tickets elsewhere? Also, I saw on here where someone said sometimes they do buy 2 days get 1 free, is that true or something they offer often. Do you have to buy at park or can you purchase express pass online or 800 number? Do I really even need it for more than one day if I have the park to park and spring for the unlimited could we do all major rides that day and just do others we like or miss the first day we used express pass? or worth it to spend it for 2/3 days? Also doing Disc. Cov. saw thought we'd break up week with that in middle. Going Sunday 5th-Sat 11th so knowing it will be crowded as summer break in full swing so best days to go? If there is a crowd calendar for parks where could I find? Thanks and sorry for long winded question(s).

on the uo website, i saw a promo buy 2 days get the 3rd day free.
check it out and see if we are talking about the same ticket special.

where are you staying?
if at Cbay, you do get early entry in the morning.
a lot can be done in the potter section before the park is open to the general public.

you can buy the express passes/ep on line or in person.
i suggest you wait util you are in the park to make that decision.

if it is a packed park, you can buy the ep's at guest services or in most of the shops in the park.
you can buy the ep for one park or do a combo ep which will include both parks.

reread your question..

you can buy the UO park tickets anywhere.
discount 3rd party vendor tickets are the same as UO sells on their website.

some have promos going on for buy a two day ticket , get 3rd day free.

the express pass is a separate ticket from park tickets.
they are not combined in any way.

you can buy the single one time use per ride/show express pass or you can buy the unlimited usage express pass.
you can buy express passes for one park only or a combo express which would be for both parks.

express passes are date and park related.
they are non refundable.

not sure if you plan on 2 or 3 days at UO parks.

once you have your dates for the parks etched in stone, then think about the ep purchase.
you said going 5th to 11th - are you going June?

if so, mondays/tuesdays are decent crowd days for UO parks.

doing DC in the middle of your trip would be a nice way to change the pace of the vacation.

if you plan on 3 UO park days, go with ep for one day only and cover as much as possible

some dates have less crowds than others, depends on the day of the week and if any events are planned in the parks.

wait and buy the ep once you are in the park and can see the wait list boards.
wait list boards are in various places in the parks and list the ride and present wait time.

OK, thanks for all your answers. After searching last night I think I am going to get a room for first night there at Loews for 280 or so and will have 2 days of unlimited fast pass so we can do everything we want and can always come back another day later in week to ride stuff we really loved or anything we missed in first 2 days with passes. We are going in June so figured it will packed according to undercover tourist so figured worth the expense to have 2 days of fast pass. Plus getting into park an hour early which I read here is important for FJ since it has no passes is an added bonus as well.

booking a deluxe room for one night wil be cheaper than buying 3 days of unlimited ep if staying off site.

you made a good decision!
