Newbie Pretrip... Am I on the right track?

Let me start out by saying that we have been Disney Nuts for years and have gone for the past 5 summers. But... my DS 11 and 7 are looking for more adventure in their vacations this year so we decided to try US for the first time. For the SAME price of staying at Disney for 8 days this is what we have planned this August. What do you think?

Check into Villas at Cypress Gardens for 3 nights
Day 1 Discovery Cove... never thought we could afford to do this
Day 2 Sea World- free tickets from the Discovery Cove day
Day 3 Sea World- free tickets from the Discovery Cove day
Day 4 Check into HRH and do US
Day 5 IOA
Day 6 Typhoon Lagoon... using Disney Dollars that have been saved up
Day 7 US or IOA
Day 8 Relax and do US and IOA favorites

I think that this vacation has more BANG for the $! I am surprised at how much is on this agenda. I am also looking forward to trying something new and not having to fight the Disney Crowds this year. Maybe (I doubt it) we will have a slightly relaxing time. I feel that we have given ourselves plenty of time at each place. What do you think? Thanks.

Your vacation sounds wonderful, I would love to do Discovery Cove! I've been to US/IOA a few times, but this time I am staying on site at US for the first time, it sounds like it will be a much more relaxed vacation than at Disney (although I'm a huge Disney fan too).

I can hardly believe it myself. We wouldn't have been able to afford to go if it hadn't been for the switch from Disney to US/Sea World. As much as I love Disney, I am even more excited to check US/IOA. I guess it is the whole exploring the unknown thing.

You will really like IOA...if you like wet rides....be prepared to GET WET!!! RipSaw Falls is one of my favorites!!
