Newbie points question/strategies

Hi,

My wife and I recently purchased a DVC at BCV. What we bought has 20 points currently available and 160 points coming on 2/1/07. Our use year is February. Any advice on good strategies for the 20 pts we have. We are both school teachers and can not go until the summer months. Also, next summer is not an option since we are adopting from China and will be happily and obviously "pre-occupied." So, we thought about a 2-bedromm villa in 2008 for us and the extended family to go. I thought about renting them or banking them. If we bank we will still have some extra points after we use 2008's for a 2-bdrm villa.

I have been looking into possibly using them for a weekend trip to New York City. Since we haven't gotten all of our DVC account info yet does anyone know about how many points it would be to stay in a DVC place in New York for a weekend in the middle of November?

I know this is a bit of a ramble, but we are just excited and know that this forum is a great resource. Our little girl is going to just love Disney!!!!

You could bank the 20 points into 2007 UY so you wouldn't lose them and use them someway in 2007. Maybe even do something at Christmas or Thanksgiving in 2007 since your summer will be busy.

How exciting...I think I know of another DVC family who is adopting from China! Bank your points...and you can use them to add a few days later on when you are ready to go!
