newbie owner with questions!!

Ok so we just bought in on wed and now i have lots of questions coming to my mind and of course I knew i could turn to the disers for help
1. what is developer points??
2. if i bought add on points at another location say bwv for 50 points (currently have 160 at SSR) how does that work with it being a home resort also. Could I book at 11 months out at bwv and use my 160 points plus the 50 points i buy at bwv. This part is confusing me when i read it in the book.
I think that is it for now but I'm sure you will see me asking more as time goes on. I have been reading the other threads and that is helping alot.

"Developer points" are a sales incentive used by DVC at times. They have had several different forms - point-for-point, double points, graduated points. In general, they have had some restrictions (good for year, not usuable until 7 months from arrival, not bankable, etc).

If you purchase points at other resorts, only those points may be used for the Home Resort Priority at 11 months, but they may be combined with your other points for reservations at 7 months.

By using banking and borrowing, 50 points at BWV could be used for a reservation using 150 points every three years.

nope. until 7 months out, SSR pts are only good at SSR (and BWV pts are only good for booking BWV, and so on.)
