So I am new to this forum but my friend had made mention of it to me. I figured I would become a member. Anyway, I've never visited Universal Orlando before and plan on going sometime this summer for about 3 days. I'll probably end up going sometime around mid-July but will want to stay off site at my friends house. He lives only about 15 min from Universal.

To get to the point though, I'm just wondering a little about what to expect when I go there. I already looked thoroughly at the parks website and want to visit both parks during my stay down there. However, crowd wise, I'm not sure what to expect and how to go about my day at each park. Maybe some tips and pointers for the parks would be great but any info on what to do is greatly appreciated!

The websites are a great place to start. The only thing is to get there before opening to avoid large crowds. Look at the website for the maps to get an idea of what you want to ride. Then just make a big circle around the park. If you could afford it one night stay onsite would help a lot since it will give you 2 days of unlimited express pass.:thumbsup2

Since you'd be staying that close for free, I don't think you could justify the cost of staying onsite...that's why I don't. Get there at opening...you should be able to do some of the attractions w/o much of a wait especially at the Studios. But you might want to go to IOA first since most of the crowds will be heading for WWoHP which could mean short lines for the other attractions.
