Before this gets ugly let me say that I have never stayed on site before, never been to WDW or even Florida as an adult and therefore have never partaken in any illegal mug filling/refilling/yogurting activites. Yet. :rotfl:

We are doing a split stay. Room only for 3 nights at AsMo until DH joins us and then WL for 6 nights with the DP. My questions are these:

1. can we get milk in the mugs? Or just soda? juice?
2. If I buy a mug at AsMo, am I going to anger the mug gods by using it at WL for the rest of our stay? Do I need to buy a new mug when I get to WL to avoid being targeted as an illegal mug user on my very first trip?

I really don't handle confrontation well, and while it would be nice not to have to buy 2 mugs for one trip I will if it is what needs to be done to be legal and avoid anyone (CM or other guest) calling me on an illegal move!

Newbie though I may be I do know better than to take my potentially illegal mug to another resort to use their pool! :rotfl2:

1: I don't think you can get milk. If I am remembering correctly, it is just fountain drinks.

2: You will need to buy a new mug for WL. Each resort has its own design, so everyone will be able to see that you are using an All Star mug.

If I was only going to be at ASMo for three days, I wouldn't bother getting a mug there and would wait and buy one from WL.

Yep, as far as i remember all fountain drinks, as well as cofee, tea and hot hot chocolate. (Thats all i ever got with them.) I think milk is only sold in cartons.

The mugs are good for soda, coffee, tea but not juice or milk. I think it depends on how much of those items you will be drinking in a day to calculate if it is worth buying it at your first resort. Coffee, tea, and hot choc are $1.99 and soda is $2.09 according to All Ears - The mug is @ $12.00 - if you will have 6 drinks of those types over your stay it is a break even. Besides, it is a nice souvenier - I use mine all the time at home - esp the WL mug - we got the narrower ones and they work in the cup holder in the car.

By the way, what size it is ? I mean.. if I fill the mug in the morning, is there enough to go till the end of the day ? even if I guess it's depending how thirsty I am that day !! :sunny:

I'll certainly be needing my one cup of coffee in the AM and at least a soda in the PM so in 3 days it will pay for itself. What a pain about the other beverages though. My little ones drink lots of milk! I can't see buying it and paying for a fridge in the room for 3 days and then having to move food and drinks to WL when we switch! I guess I will be stuck buying milk at the food courts!

Thank you for the replies!

We purchased mugs during our stay last year and used them regularly. My son nearly over dosed on slushies that trip. In his opinion that was the best thing about the resort. We were able to get soda, coffee and hot chocolate as well.

We have a soft-side folding cooler that we take with us on trips. If you put a half gallon of milk from the hotel store in it and pack ice in ziplock bags around it and change the ice morning and evening it keeps really well. I am 52 and go thru 3 gallons of milk a week by myself and need to have that milk with me at all times. It is usually cheaper to by the half gallons from the hotel gift shop/store than to buy the half pints. The ziplock bags make the ice changing easier and less messy and easier to get the container in and out.

Wilderness Lodge has fridge in the room and milk in the gift shop.
