Okay...here's a ques. for you...I have an offer waiting to go through ROFR (please send pixie dust my way). DH and I are trying to plan a trip in Dec. to use banked points that we do not want to waste. I sat here tonight and did "calculations" for what would be the best use of our points (to get right at the number of points, but not go over by too much). Then, I realized how stupid I was...'cause who knows what is actually availiable. Now, we picked Dec (3-10) for a variety of reasons...but, one being that we think we should close on our offer (if it passes ROFR) by the first week in April, so we would still be between the 11 & 7 month "window" for the "home" advantage on reservations.
Then, looking at my contract from TTS, I noticed that they included MS phone number "in case of any questions". Does that mean that I can ACTUALLY call MS? I never would've thought to do that since I am not yet a member? I am not talking about calling to make a reservation...I KNOW I cannot do that, but could I call to check availablility, or would they want a member number? I am a little confused as to why TTS would give me this number now? Maybe to check and see if I am in their system right after we close? I know I could call TTS and ask...but, frankly..I think people on the boards here know a lot more about the "workings" of DVC than do the real estate agents at TTS. They're good at what they do...and, you all are the best at what you do (mainly informing idiots like me!!!!)
